Sustainability Strategy 2030
Since 2016, the company has aligned its goals with the global sustainability goals of the United Nations (UN Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs). In 2020, it was selected by the United Nations and Bloomberg as one of the "50 Sustainability and Climate Leaders" worldwide. The four fields of action of the Sustainability Strategy 2030 provide the framework for BayWa's sustainability work:

- Employees: sustainability culture, occupational health and safety, inclusion and diversity, learning and development, remuneration and incentives
- Society: actively shaping sustainability, awareness of sustainable living

At the same time, BayWa aims to make its product portfolio sustainable and promote the transition to a circular economy.
Environment & climate

In doing so, the company also goes beyond its own borders and considers the value chain in relevant environmental aspects. The Group-wide BayWa climate strategy, which is embedded in the sustainability strategy, pursues goals to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
