Internationality & locations

BayWa Group Inclusion & Diversity Policy
BayWa actively acknowledges the importance of diversity in the company with an Inclusion & Diversity Policy (I & D). With this policy, BayWa commits itself to creating a working environment free of discrimination. The aim is to raise awareness of the contribution of I & D to the company's success, to social responsibility and to the general reputation of our company. Furthermore, a working environment free of harassment of any kind shall be supported and clear roles and responsibilities regarding I & D within the organization shall be defined. This will create and promote the basis for establishing I & D guidelines and measures in all BayWa subsidiaries worldwide.

Signing of the Diversity Charter
BayWa is committed to a working environment free of prejudice and an an open business culture. In May 2019, CEO Prof. Klaus Josef Lutz and Eva Boesze, Head of Corporate HR, signed the "Diversity Charter" on behalf of BayWa's holding company. Sponsored by German Chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel, the charter aims to promote diversity in companies and to advance it through concrete measures. Signing the charter is accompanied by a voluntary commitment.

Cooperation with the Pfennigparade Foundation
BayWa has maintained a close social cooperation with the Pfennigparade Foundation for years. In addition to jointly organized vernissages for customers and business partners, BayWa AG has also assigned Pfennigparade with the management of incoming invoices for goods and cost receipts. Since 2008, the receipts of physically handicapped employees of the Pfennigparade have been processed on a daily basis. BayWa AG particularly appreciates the consistently high quality standard of receipt processing.

The BayWa Sales Mentoring
In May 2020, the BayWa sales mentoring program was launched under the slogan "Going new ways together". The mentoring program gives BayWa employees the opportunity to get to know the work of sales more closely and to shape their own future in sales.

With "BayWa Connected WoMen", we created an interactive, open community for all employees at BayWa. In addition to frequent virtual networking events, it features contributions from the business units and on the topics of leadership, digitalization, collaboration, diversity, sustainability, and more.

Responsibility and careers
Healthy employees at safe jobsBayWa emphasises prevention, safety and environmental management. The BayWa Group's health management service's motto is: “Healthy employees at safe jobs”. BayWa perceives its main task in establishing healthy overall conditions, structures and processes for the workplace environment. In addition, BayWa offers preventative training sessions to maintain and increase general well-being.
The “Fit for All Fields” employee initiative was started together with FC Bayern Basketball. Focusing on the areas of physical fitness, nutrition, mental fitness and basketball knowledge, it gives employees the opportunity to improve their health in both their private and professional lives.
