Field of action: Environment & Climate
The field of action “Environment & Climate” focuses on reducing greenhouse gas emissions—both in our own business activities and throughout the value chain. In addition, this action area focuses on minimizing negative impacts on biodiversity, ecosystems, and water resources along the supply chain.
BayWa Climate Strategy 2025
In 2018, BayWa adopted the Climate Strategy 2025, whose targets focused on energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions from its own business activities, as well as its contribution to the global energy transition.
Field of action: Employees
The field of action “Employees” emphasizes health and safety in the workplace, diversity and inclusion, fair compensation, and the ability to balance work with different life stages. In addition, the culture of sustainability is to be strengthened to further promote responsible behavior in everyday work.

The work environment is continuously improved regarding accident prevention, ergonomics, and health promotion.

The field of action “Society” focuses on creating social value beyond our business activities. The BayWa Foundation’s educational projects help BayWa raise health awareness among young target groups. In addition, we aim to make social contributions, particularly in the regions surrounding our locations.
The BayWa Foundation
The BayWa Foundation focuses on education and support in the areas of nutrition, energy, and environmental protection. Further, its commitment to helping people in need is also a key priority. Since its founding in 1998, more than 100 projects have been successfully implemented in 12 countries.
