Learn to understand change through research

Specific research has great significance when it comes to understanding major changes in the world and developing future-oriented solutions for society. Together with the Technical University of Munich, BayWa AG has therefore established an endowed chair for "Governance in International Agribusiness" at the Center of Life and Food Sciences Weihenstephan. It strengthens the research and teaching of international agricultural economic relationships in agricultural and horticultural sciences. The endowed professorship shall be specifically concerned with the increasing importance of ecological and social sustainability. The professor's research assignment is therefore to pursue the crucial question of which future structures will be required in agriculture as a consequence of globalization of the food and raw material markets. The research shall investigate how companies and farmers can best adjust to increasing globalization.
