ESG Ratings
When it comes to implementing ESG (environmental, social, and governance) measures, BayWa AG is one of the leading companies in the international trade sector, which has been repeatedly recognized by rating agencies. External ratings provide guidance on sustainability performance and are ultimately also taken into account in financing and investment decisions. In addition, ESG ratings are also used by customers of BayWa AG in supplier evaluations.
Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) Rating
B In the 2025 CDP rating, BayWa AG received a B grade in the climate category, representing an improvement on the previous year. In the water category, it again received a B- grade.
MSCI ESG Research
AA MSCI ESG Research again gave the BayWa Group an AA rating for the year 2023, classifying BayWa as a “Leader”.
ISS ESG Rating
B- ISS ESG, one of the world’s most reputable ESG rating agencies, awarded the BayWa Group for 2024 with B- status in recognition of its sustainability performance.
EcoVadis
Silver With 72 out of 100 points, the BayWa Group ranks among the top 25 percent of companies across all industries assessed by EcoVadis in 2024.
