Munich based companies signed climate agreement

BayWa signed the Klimapakt Münchner Wirtschaft (climate agreement of Munich’s economy) together with 14 other companies on July 1st 2016. The climate agreement was initiated by the Department of Labour and Industry of Munich with the support of the Chamber of  Commerce and Industry for Munich. The goal of the agreement is the joint reduction of CO2 emissions of at least 40,000 t CO2 till the end of 2017 in the Munich area. The patron of this project is Josef Schmid, the Deputy Mayor of Munich.

 

BayWa will primary contribute with the renovation of the headquarters by aiming at a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification. The LEED procedure ensures the highest standards in the environmental friendliness of the planning, construction and use of buildings.
