CDP climate rating significantly improved
11.01.2021
In its second year of participation, BayWa AG has achieved a B rating and is thus above both the European and the industry average.
The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) is an international non-profit organization that evaluates the commitment of companies, municipalities and countries to environmental and climate protection every year. BayWa AG achieved a climate rating of B in 2020, thus improving by one score compared to the previous year (2019: C). This success can be attributed, among other things, to the more substantiated disclosure of climate-related risks and opportunities, a closer link between climate and corporate strategy, and additional information on greenhouse gas emissions arising along the value chain (Scope 3).
CDP represents 515 investors with $106 trillion in assets who demand information from companies on their approach to climate change. To this end, the commitment of numerous companies to climate and environmental protection is assessed annually on the basis of a comprehensive catalog of criteria.
