The latest cooperation project between BayWa and Pfennigparade is intended to make a direct contribution to maintaining the ecological balance at the BayWa headquarters. The beekeeper Christoph Oberländer, together with Pfennigparade workshop employees, will professionally look after and care for the bees. Regular visits to the bees ensure that the busy workers are doing well.

The flight radius of honey bees includes the numerous allotments in the immediate vicinity of the headquarters, as well as parks up to 3 kilometers away, such as the English Garden. Even city traffic does not harm the quality of the honey: to protect their brood, the bees filter out any heavy metals that may be present, so that the city honey is free of exhaust fumes.

BayWa has maintained close social cooperation with Pfennigparade for many years. The foundation has been supporting people with physical disabilities and other handicaps since 1950. Its main goals are inclusion and social participation, so that the highest possible quality of life can be achieved in a self-determined manner. The cooperation between BayWa and Pfennigparade combines social responsibility with economic activity.
